Visit of YNA to Cebu
Yngvil Asheim, the president of HFS, visited the University of Cebu for the second time around last September 20, 2006. Amidst her hectic schedule, she never failed to have a short glimpse and talk with all the NSA – HFS cadets.
HÖEGH TRAMPER in the Philippines
HFSP staff had an opportunity to visit the vessel Höegh Tramper in September 12-13, & 15, 2006, during its scheduled maintenance repair at Keppel Batangas Shipyard in Bauan. The ship's crew, led by Capt. Autonomo Amano, gave the staff a tour of the car carrier and showed the newly-installed modern equipment in both the bridge and engine room.
Höegh Autoliners assisted in evacuation from Beirut
The Höegh Autoliners Ro/Ro vessel M/V HUAL Transporter assisted the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in evacuating Norwegian and other foreign citizens from the unrest in Lebanon and Beirut. On 19 July 2006 the vessel reached Larnaca in Cyprus with 1120 passengers onboard.
